I love creating things that make people happy. It’s something I loved about being an actor and certainly something I love doing for clients and houses. When my friend bemoaned her outdated bathroom, I offered to take a look.

Here’s what it looked like… and this is a professional photo.

She didn’t like the pink tile. Or the brown granite. No problem. She wanted a soaking tub. Hmm slow down. Where does that fit? The bathroom is only 5ft x 11ft with the entrance on the far corner (from which this photo was taken). She had spoken to 2 contractors and they both said she would have to do a tub and shower combo.

“Not so fast,” I said.

“What are you thinking?”

“What if you moved the door to the center of the wall instead of on the side? You could line up tub, vanity, toilet, shower and have it all. It would be small for sure, and more expensive, but doable. And you’d have a separate soaking tub.”

“Let’s do it!”

So we did. We went to Floor and Decor and picked out the tile. Kingston Brass for the fixtures. Wayfair for the tub and Shades of light for the vanity and wall sconces.

It took 3 weeks.
