If so, I encourage you to consider several different agents before deciding whom to go with. Like every home, every agent is different. We all have different styles, preferences, and personalities. It’s important to have an agent who not only is an area expert, master marketer, and seasoned negotiator, but someone who will also adjust and accommodate to suit your needs based on your timeline and priorities.
If the last 3 years have taught me anything, it’s that change is constant. The market can change drastically in just a week (think global shutdown, societal upheaval, and wild interest rate fluctuations). A good Realtor is going to have their eye on the market and all the micro shifts that can happen in their local area. They’ll be adept at pivoting, creative with problem solving, and open to new directions. Be wary of the fear mongers and the drama magnets; a good agent knows that a large part of our job is shielding our client from the drama and the fear. You have enough to worry about, you’re selling your home! And selling your home is a stressful process, choose someone who helps mitigate the stress, not adds to it.
